Elevated Sushi Experience to Open Summer 2026 in Johnson County

Hawthorne Plaza is excited to welcome Kata Nori Hand Roll Bar, a chef-driven Japanese dining concept, to its center this Summer 2026. The restaurant will take over the former André’s Chocolates space, next to Urban Egg and Summer Salt Ice Cream.

Kata Nori brings an elevated lunch and dinner experience with a full cocktail bar, table service, and the signature U-shaped bar seating.

“Kata Nori introduces a new way to enjoy sushi, focused on quality, freshness, and the guest experience,” said partner Nam Phan. Led by Chef Anh Pham, with over 20 years of sushi experience including at Uchi in Dallas, Kata Nori offers hand rolls and crudos prepared individually by skilled chefs.

“We’re thrilled to bring this unique dining experience to Johnson County,” said Michael Berenbom, LANE4 Managing Partner. “This will be Hawthorne Plaza’s first dinner-focused restaurant.”

Construction is underway, with a target opening this Summer.
