Artist, Yeqiang Wang wins Best of Show
at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art’s
National Portraits & Figures Show
now showing through March 15th!
Nearly 500 paintings were submitted online for a chance to be selected for the National Portraits & Figures Show, a special juried event featuring an exclusive selection of original portrait and figure paintings from artists across the nation.
Of the hundreds of submissions, a total of 63 paintings were selected to be included in the show which opened on February 1st, 2019 and is currently showing at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art in Overland Park, KS through March 15th, 2019.
Yeqiang Wang is the $1,000 Best of Show Prize winner with his painting, Return to Classicism – Young Girl Reading.
Tracy Frein’s Lost Muse won the $500 2nd Place Prize.
Chit Chat and Reticence by Lynn LaRose won the $300 3rd Place Prize.
Sonia Reeder Jones won the $200 4th Place Prize with her portrait titled, Red Ribbon.
Our first $100 Honorable Mention prize winner is
Nyle Gordon with his painting titled, Ruby.
Our second $100 Honorable Mention prize winner is a portrait titled, Bluer Than the Sky
by Johne Richardson.
Each painting will be on display and featured for sale at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art through March 15th, 2019. All works selected for this show will also be featured online via Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and www.thericegallery.com for our online audience to purchase and enjoy.
